deploynode Launches Crypto VPS Hosting With Bitcoin, Monero and Lightning Payments

The new platform deploys servers on DigitalOcean and Vultr from a prepaid crypto balance, bills by the hour, and asks for nothing but an email address to sign up.

AMSTERDAM, 27 August 2026 — deploynode today announced the public launch of crypto VPS hosting, a platform that lets developers deploy cloud servers on established infrastructure and pay for them entirely in cryptocurrency. The service is live now at deploynode.io.

The platform sits in front of DigitalOcean and Vultr, provisioning real instances on their networks while accepting payment in seven currencies those providers do not take directly: Bitcoin, Monero, Tether, Ethereum, Solana, Litecoin, and Bitcoin over the Lightning Network. Customers fund a prepaid balance once and spend it across every server they run.

Plans start at $11.00 per month on Vultr, which offers 36 regions, and $13.20 per month on DigitalOcean across 16 regions. Every server is billed by the hour against the customer’s balance and capped at the plan’s monthly price, so a machine destroyed after an afternoon costs an afternoon rather than a month. Destroying a server stops billing immediately.

Signup requires an email address and a password. There is no identity verification, no credit card, and no card is accepted at any point. The minimum deposit is $20.

For customers whose priority is payment privacy rather than convenience, deploynode supports Monero VPS deployments. Monero conceals the sender, receiver and amount at the protocol level, so a deposit is not linkable to a customer’s other transactions by chain analysis — unlike transparent ledgers where any deposit can be traced back through a wallet’s history.

Customers paying with Bitcoin VPS deposits can settle on-chain or over the Lightning Network. Lightning payments clear in seconds and carry negligible fees, which suits the platform’s $20 minimum top-up better than an on-chain transaction during periods of network congestion.

Servers come with full root access, a dedicated IPv4 address and the customer’s own SSH keys installed at build time. Deployment completes in about sixty seconds. Windows Server images are available on supported plans with the provider’s licence fee shown at deploy time, as are licensed control panels including cPanel and Plesk.

The company has published twelve technical guides covering common uses for a new server, including hardening a fresh Ubuntu install, running a private WireGuard VPN, operating a Bitcoin full node, self-hosting a password manager, and running a Tor relay. Each is written as copy-paste commands with an explanation of what every step does.

Cryptocurrency mining is prohibited on all plans, a restriction inherited from the upstream providers. Running a blockchain node, a wallet or a trading bot is explicitly permitted, and is a common use of the platform.

“Paying for infrastructure shouldn’t require handing a hosting company your card details and your identity. The clouds themselves are excellent — what was missing was a way to buy them privately, by the hour, without a contract.”

— a deploynode spokesperson
