The Game Changer Limited (CEO William Meehan), developers for the award-winning P2E Strategic RPG mobile game ‘Covenant Child’, has updated their Whitepaper highlighting the most recent developments to its story-driven RPG gameplay. One of the major updates is that the Foundation has confirmed that Covenant Child will be Free-to-Play accessible, and players will be able to earn P2E rewards from the very beginning.
Overall Gameplay
Covenant Child’s gameplay consists of three main sections commonly seen in RPGs for its launch expansion: early, middle, and end-game content. Most game assets earned from gameplay are NFT issuable to be sold to other players on Covenant Child’s self-developed NFT Marketplace.
In early-game content areas, players can deploy the five free Heroes given to them after creating an account to begin gathering upgrade materials and basic in-game currencies. Using the materials earned, Heroes and the player’s Town can be upgraded and Hero equipment and skills can be crafted and customized according to the player’s battle strategy. Once the Heroes are strong enough, players will be able to participate in Covenant Child’s middle game PvE Dungeon Crawler mode, Continent Adventures.
In Continent Adventures, players are able to explore and occupy many of the Covenant Child universe’s different continents through completing staged turn-based combat ‘dungeons’. The more continents that the players occupy, progressively higher quality rewards are available to be earned.
Once players are ready, they can compete against other players on Covenant Child’s seasonal global PvP Ladder. The top echelon of competitors will receive Honor Bundles that hold some of the game’s most valuable rewards.
One of the P2E game’s most important gameplay aspects is its deep Hero customization. There are currently 27 different Heroes available to play, all with unique sets of skills and combat roles. The combination possibilities are essentially endless, and passionate players will find themselves in a game of chess when playing competitively against others. Eventually, the game will embrace the global esports scene and hold competitions for great prizes, both inside and outside of the game.
Future Content
Over the next year and a half, the Foundation plans to release content updates that will transform players’ solo P2E adventures into ones of cooperative global earning. These future contents include DAO Guild integration and World Boss Raids. Players will be able to create communities with other scholars of Covenant Child in order to earn some of the most unique and powerful assets in the game.
